GTA 6: Rockstar Games may have revealed the date for Trailer 2, and you didn’t even notice; Check out the evidence

The Rockstar Games community is excited about new clues suggesting the release of the second trailer for GTA 6 (Grand Theft Auto VI) on a rather intriguing date.
You can check out more details on this topic in the video below:
According to an Easter egg in GTA Online, April 1, 2025—April Fool’s Day—could be the date Rockstar Games chooses to reveal more details about GTA 6.
One of the main pieces of evidence comes from a T-shirt released in GTA Online back in September 2023. The clothing item, which features a series of encoded numbers, had already accurately predicted the date of the first trailer—the numbers “125 2309” correspond exactly to December 5, 2023, at 9 AM.

Following the same logic, another sequence of numbers on the T-shirt reads “04 01 25”—which could be interpreted as April 1, 2025. Coincidence? Maybe, but Rockstar has a history of leaving clues like this.
A strategic Tuesday for GTA 6’s second trailer.

Another factor that strengthens this theory is that April 1, 2025, falls on a Tuesday—the very day of the week Rockstar prefers for major announcements. It’s worth noting that the first trailer was also released on a Tuesday.
Beginning of Take-Two’s fiscal year

The beginning of April also marks the start of Take-Two Interactive’s fiscal year 2026, the parent company of Rockstar. The company has repeatedly indicated that it expects extraordinary revenue during this fiscal period, coinciding with the release of GTA 6, which is set for Fall 2025 (Spring in Brazil).
Further supporting these theories, the group GTAVIoclock, which has had connections with Rockstar since the GTA 5 era, claimed to have received “reliable hints” about the release of Trailer 2 in early April. While they didn’t specifically mention April 1, the date aligns perfectly with the other pieces of evidence.
Rockstar Games’ marketing pattern with GTA 5 and Red Dead Redemption 2

Looking at the history of previous releases, both GTA 5 and Red Dead Redemption 2 had intensified marketing campaigns roughly six months before launch. If GTA 6 is set for a September 2025 release, early April would be the perfect time to kick off that campaign.
In short, it would be very typical of Rockstar to choose April Fools’ Day for such an important announcement. Imagine the chaos on social media with fans wondering if the reveal is real or just an April Fools’ joke. The developer could even have some fun, like releasing a fake trailer followed by the real one, creating even more buzz in the media.
