Trouble for GTA 6? Hacker EMPRESS issues threat to Rockstar Games

Even without an official release date for the PC version of GTA 6, the controversial hacker EMPRESS has already set her sights on Rockstar Games. And this time, the threat is clear: if the game uses Denuvo, she promises to crack it.

Likewise, even without official confirmation of a PC version of GTA VI, EMPRESS has already sent a message in a Telegram group:

“Whatever protection they use, if the game doesn’t get cracked by other losers, I’ll add it to my Hall of Fame list and release the crack myself.”

Denuvo in GTA 6?

Rockstar Games has never used Denuvo in its previous titles, but rumors suggest that due to the massive investment in GTA 6, the company might adopt stricter protection measures. The technology is known for being tough to crack, but also notorious for negatively impacting game performance.

And that’s where EMPRESS comes in. She’s one of the few hackers capable of cracking games protected with Denuvo and has already gained notoriety for her track record with titles using the system.
