Ex-Rockstar spills too much about GTA 6 and “deletes” interview here’s what he said!

Recently, an interview with Mike York, a former developer of GTA 5 and Red Dead 2, was removed from YouTube. In the Kiwi Talkz podcast, York commented on GTA 6’s performance on consoles, stating that the game would run at a locked 30 FPS, without reaching 60 FPS.

His revelation sparked intense discussions among players, as York dismissed the possibility of a “performance mode.” He suggested that the scale of GTA 6’s open world on consoles would cause performance limitations, particularly on the PS5 and Xbox Series X|S, preventing higher frame rates.

Just hours after the interview was published, the video was taken down from the Kiwi Talkz channel. The host later clarified on social media that Rockstar Games had allegedly intervened, possibly pressuring York to remove the content. He stated that the company claimed the former employee had disclosed confidential information. Check it out:

Unfortunately, at Mike’s request, I had to take down my latest interview. I apologize to everyone. I’ll have an amazing guest on the podcast next week, so stay tuned!
